AM97.Accessiv is the first known
Access virus, and can be assumed to be "in the wild" by virtue
of at least one real infection and an infected database available
on the Internet.
The virus will infect all MDB
files in the default directory on the opening of an infected
database. The virus is in two parts - an AutoOpen macro and
a Module Virus which contains the infectious code.
If the security options for
your databases are set such that users can only read the databases,
then they will not be able to infect them.
